My professional background is in law, and while this may seem like a far cry from my current interest of decorating, crafting and party planning, they have been a part in my life for a very long time. I hold a Pre-law degree and have worked as a paralegal for the past 21 years. Even though this field has been quite profitable and afforded me a stable lifestyle, I've always had a passion for creating beautiful, handmade items. The turning point for me was eight years ago when I planned and organized my own wedding. Between the invitations, floral arrangements, and menu to fully setting up all the church and reception decorations, I realized my career needed to change. The enjoyment and passion I felt by simply creating beauty for people to enjoy gave me such satisfaction. My boss at that time asked me if I had plans on changing my career because she saw how I lit up while planning this special occasion. Needless to say, my answer was yes, and here I am changing my career eight years later with my former boss as my biggest fan. 

 

I lost someone dear to my heart who always told me that I was not living up to my potential and that my talents were not being utilized properly.  Well, my beloved brother, I'm throwing caution to the wind and here I stand.  I declare my love for color, for fabric, for texture, for nature, for painting, for simply looking at anything and creating something fabulous with my own two hands.

Inspiration and creativity for me are based on life experiences.  A simple walk along a dirt road can display all forms of beautiful sightings that inspire creativity.  Nature is the cure for all things.
